Samsung released the Galaxy S20 FE as a stepping stone toward making 5G smartphones more affordable. However, the variant we got initially was a 4G model — with a different (Exynos) chipset running under the hood. But, with its latest release today, the company has finally introduced the much-awaited 5G version of the S20 FE. A few key highlights of the device include an sAMOLED display, triple rear cameras, Snapdragon 865 5G chipset, and a 4500mAh battery.

Starting with the design, the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G features a textured haze effect finish on the rear, which Samsung suggests helps minimize fingerprints and smudges. It also comes with an IP68 dust and water resistance. Towards the front, there is a 6.5-inch sAMOLED display on the device with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate.

The Galaxy S20 FE 5G comes in three colors: Cloud Mint, Cloud Lavender, and Cloud Navy.

At its core, the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, which is a 5G chipset with up to 2.84GHz of clock speed and an Adreno 650 GPU for graphics processing. Assisting the chipset is 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage, expandable up to 1TB with a microSD card. And to power the internals, there is a 4500mAh battery with support for 25W Super-Fast charging technology. Additionally, there is also support for Wireless Charging 2.0 on the smartphone.

In terms of optics, the Galaxy S20 FE 5G comes with a triple-camera setup on the rear with an LED flash. The setup includes a 12MP primary sensor accompanied by a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens and an 8MP telephoto lens. On the front, the device has a 32MP (f/2.2) camera for selfies.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G is priced at Rs 55,999. But, as part of an introductory offer, the device will be available for Rs 47,999 (includes Rs 8,000 instant cashback) starting March 31 on Samsung.com, Amazon India, and retail outlets.
