It’s always a good practice to use strong passwords—even for your Wi-Fi networks. However, strong passwords are often longer and more complex, which makes them harder to remember.

Sure, you could always look up your network’s password through your router’s admin page, but it’s not the most feasible solution, and you can’t use it to find other networks’ passwords. As a solution to this issue on iPhones, Apple has finally added the ability to see the passwords of your saved Wi-Fi networks. In addition, it’s also added the option to copy these passwords and remove Wi-Fi networks you no longer use.

Follow this guide to find out how to view Wi-Fi passwords on iPhone in iOS 16 and remove the saved Wi-Fi networks you no longer use/need any more from your device.

  5. Finally, hit Done to remove the network from the list. In case you accidentally deleted a network you didn’t intend to, click on the Cancel button in the top-left corner.

If you have the iCloud Keychain sync enabled, then as soon as you delete a saved network from your iPhone, it will also get removed from all your iCloud-synced devices, such as your iPad, Mac, or any other iPhone.

Conveniently Find Wi-Fi Passwords on iPhone and Share With Others

As you’ve just seen, iOS 16 makes viewing Wi-Fi passwords on the iPhone incredibly easy. Thanks to the new feature, you no longer need to generate QR codes for your Wi-Fi network every time you want to share its password, non-Apple device users, unlike in the past.

Additionally, this also enables you to see forgotten passwords for networks on your iPhone, so you don’t have to reset the router if you forget a password again.
